Hey there! This is pretty much minor and honestly you can take this or leave it; I just wasn't sure how else to hit you up about this, since I don't know if this is a personal preference thing and it's kinda no big deal/hurting anyone. But I was wondering about the frequent use of CW/TWs in your tags. I mean, Hadriel is a mature game and we're all adults (I hope) here, and while I think warnings are a courtesy for heavy stuff like gore, suicide, and sexual situations, I don't think it's necessary to warn for the simple mention of death, drugs, and Nazis. Like for example, Nazis are a pretty common theme in news/history and media, so I don't think you're going to trigger anyone by your character simply mentioning Nazis unless they're delved into more gritty detail in the tag. I mean, we frequently call Hadriel the "Murdercave/planet/island/city/whatever", which doesn't require needing warnings for the mentions of murder and violent themes that the game entails, so I think most adults here can handle most of the things you've been putting up warnings for without them.

On one hand, it's a harmless little thing to nitpick about, but on the other, warnings tend to set up an expectation for something more extreme than the things I've seen in your tags with those labels, so I don't think they're always needed. It's just something to think about, since it would really be less effort on your part!

I've had people wank on me before by saying that a character like Laura Palmer shouldn't even be allowed in RP in the first place due to the strong themes of abuse, sex, and drugs in her background. So when I CW, I'm doing it so that those people are placated and have no reason to go namedropping me on Wankgate or similar comms.

I also spent a lot of time on Tumblr until recently where you did have to trigger warn for Nazis and similar subjects or else you'd get angry anons in your inbox.

I would like to think that we're all mature adults here who can handle darker subject matter without warnings, but I still feel as though I need to tread very carefully due to the nature of the character and her background (which I haven't even really gotten into yet).

Thank you for your input, it's appreciated, but I'd rather play it safe, at least for now.

Man, I really shouldn't be surprised but people seriously wank on that stuff? I know Twin Peaks has a ton of heavy themes but I've always been of the mind that if it's handled respectfully, it's fine, and I think you've handled Laura pretty well so far. I mean I've seen Angela from Silent Hill 2 played before and she's got similar themes going on, and Laura has more canon to work with. Honestly I think if anons wank on you for even the tamer stuff, that's on them, but I can understand you wanting to play it safe.

I don't spend that much time on Tumblr but I know it's a much broader age group than what we've got in DWRP, which usually consists of 20+ people in age. People on Tumblr are also more sensitive to the weirdest stuff, which is why I tend to use it casually.

And yeah, again, I totally get why you'd want to tread lighter with this particular character. I'm of course canon familiar and can handle those themes, since Rey's got some pretty heavy stuff that I'm reluctant to bring up in RP sometimes that I'd like to one day explore.

Either way, it's no big deal, and your choice! I just thought I'd let you know. 👍
